1824              1st Methodist religious meeting in Cloverdale Township

1827              Built Log Church west of town

1848              Built frame building in town

1873              Erected new building

1905              Moved entrance from center to NE corner and added galley and classroom in the rear

 

1941              Church burned and met at the American Legion

1942              3/9 started new building 8/9 held first service

1954              New annex of 4 classrooms

1968              United Methodist formed by merging of Evangelical United Brethren and Methodist Church

1969              New parsonage in Valley View Addition

 

1973              Lay Witness Mission. 13 people came to lead us

1974              Mortgage of parsonage burned

                     150th celebration weekend

1975              Start of drive to build new building

                      Supported missionaries Andersons British Honduras

 

1977              Senior Citizens Banquet 56 attended

                      Zella Hedrick given certificate as Honorary Ad Board member

1979              Youth put on musical “Tell It Like It is”

                      Bell Choir from Galesburg, Illinois

 

1980              Ground breaking new church 3/16
